Chocolate Chip Cookies - the best!

3/4 cup butter flavor Crisco all-vegetable shortening
1 1/4 cup firmly packed light brown sugar
2 Tbsp milk
1 Tbsp vanilla
1 egg
1 3/4 cup all purpose flour
1 tsp salt
3/4 tsp baking soda
1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips

Heat oven to 375*. Combine Crisco, brown sugar, milk and vanilla in a large bowl. Beat at medium speed until well blended. Beat egg into creamed mixture. Combine flour, salt and baking soda. Mix into creamed mixture just until blended. Stir in chocolate chips. Drop by rounded teaspoonful onto baking sheet. Bake one sheet a ttime for 8-10 minutes. Cool 2 minutes on cookie sheet before moving to foil.

Makes about 3 dozen cookies.
