Apple Dumplings

2 cans crescent rolls
2 Granny Smith apples
2 sticks butter
1 3/4 cup sugar
8-10 oz Mountain Dew
cinnamon

Cut each apple into 8 slices. Wrap each slice with a crescent roll. Arrange in a long, glass Pyrex dish. Mix butter and sugar until creamy. Spoon over each roll. Pour Mountain Dew around the rolls. Sprinkle with cinnamon. Bake at 350* for 25-35 minutes.
